According to DCI – Dental Council of India, They have canceled the affiliation for four dental and three ayurvedic Colleges in Punjab. As per DCI the colleges were not obeying & fulfilling the norms set up for affiliation.
Dr SS Gill, Vice-Chancellor of the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) said on Thursday, the university had cancelled their affiliation on the basis of DCI recommendation. These dental colleges faced de affiliation are Adesh Dental College, Bathinda; Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Dental College, Ludhiana; and Sukhmani Dental College, Dera Bassi. These colleges have been instructed and been barred from giving admissions to students to the degree course in dental sciences.
Along with this sort of list the DCI had de-recognized as many as 39 out of the total 289 dental colleges across the country. None of these de-recognized institutions have been allowed to admit students in the first year classes for 2010-11.

The Central Council of Indian System of Medicines has also barred them from conducting admissions in the degree courses for the academic session 2010-2011.
