AMIE Stands for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE).
AMIE Exam 2013 – Dates, Eligibility & Application Procedure:- This exam would be held in the months of June sand December every year. You can appear for this examination in the nearest centre anywhere in India or in abroad. A student particular student will not allowed be allowed to appear in more than 4 subjects at a time. If he fails in one subject, he can appear the same subject again till he completely passes that subject. Those who wish to appear for examination must apply in the prescribed format at the time mentioned below. When a student clears all subjects in both sections A and B he is said to have passed A.M.I.E examination and becomes a qualified graduate engineer.

Result Announced:- Result will be declared on any day of third week of March/September.
Fees for this examination would be Rs.2000 if you are appearing for examination in India and Rs.150 if you are appearing in abroad. The examination fee would be the same irrespective of the number of subjects you appear at a time or a chance.
People who can apply for this exam
All members (Technicain/Senior Technician/Associate etc) of the Institution would be eligible for appearing the AMIE examination. If you are waiting for membership after submitting application form, then you cannot apply before getting your membership number. However, if you got your membership number and waiting for ID card, you are also eligible for applying. You will need to produce the ID card at the exam hall only.
Procedure to apply for the exam
To apply for this examination, the students should take the membership registration in advance. If you own a valid membership registration (ST/T/Associate etc.) you will be eligible to apply for this examination. Only the students who have enrolled would be eligible to appear for the examination.
First you need to download the examination form from the official website and take a print out of the same. Draw a DD for the sum mentioned above in favour of “The Institution of Engineers (India)” payable at Kolkata. The ST/T number has to be written on the reverse side of the DD.
