CBIT – Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology Hyderabad was established in the year 1979 and affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. CBIT is amongst one of The Top Engineering Colleges in India. It started its journey with an intake of 200 students in 3 Undergraduate programmes, expanding it further to 8 Under-graduate and 6 Post-graduate courses with a total intake of around 866 students by the year 2004. The college is indebted to Late Justice Sri K.MadhavaReddy for its success to the vision and unstoppable efforts, and to the sense commitment and devotion of its teaching and non-teaching staff.

CBIT is the first ISO 9001:2000 certified Engineering Institute in Andhra Pradesh among the other Top Colleges in India. It also has an international center (ic-CBIT) presently offering BTECH-HND (Twinning Programme) in Electronics and Telecommunications in collaboration with Wolver Hampton University and Dudley College, United Kingdom.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programmes:

The candidate should have cleared the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Osmania University as equivalent thereto to be eligible for this program.

Admission procedure for Undergraduate programmes:

Selection of candidates in undergraduate programmes is done on the basis of EAMCET Examination held by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Programmes

For ME / M Tech / PG / Post Graduate – The candidate should be graduate from Osmania University in the relevant subject.

For MBA -Graduation in any field with minimum 45% of marks is necessary to be eligible for the course.

For MCA- The candidate should be Graduate with Mathematics at 10+2 level or must have studies Mathematics as one of the subject at graduation level.

Admission Procedure for Postgraduate programmes:

For M.E/M.Tech. – The admission is on the basis of the valid GATE scores of the candidate.

For Master of Business Administration (MBA) – The candidate must appear for Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by AP State Council of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

For Master of Computer Applications (MCA) – Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) held by AP State Council of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh is the admission criterion for this program.
