How to Qualify for ITI Government College

Industrial training institute is also known as ITI and are self financing counterparts also known as ITC for the masses. These are training institutes that are well known for providing training engineering and non-engineering technical fields and come under the ministry of labor, government of India.

These institutes impart technical knowledge in various trades to aspirants who have completed their 10th standard and are interested in technical knowledge. The colleges were to provide technical manpower to the developing economy. The duration of the courses is based on the trade which can be for around one year to three years. After completion, one can undergo practical training in his trade which is mandatory. There is government as well as private ITI’s, which impart knowledge as well as training in trades like electrician, plumber, fitter, mechanic etc. There are courses for specified trades in advanced training institutes to enhance the skills as well.

The current scope is great and aspirants are rushing to get enrolled in government colleges for ITI courses. To qualify for ITI government colleges it is necessary that one must pass at least 10th standard from any recognized university in the country. Entrance exam is held every year for the admittance of candidates into some of the industrial training institute. The details are provided in all the respective government college websites.

Students can apply for online method or offline method of entrance exam. For the online application one can download application form from the official website of ITI site and after completing it send to ITI center. For offline application, one must pay Rs. 50/- at the center or send it by DD in favor of the ITI college. After one has completed the formalities, they may or may not be required for an entrance exam. There are courses which need entrance exam which candidates have to appear. After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates are enrolled into the ITI government colleges.

Every trade comes with different duration and fee structure; choose the one that you are comfortable in. There are plenty of colleges all over the country which helps you take any trade you like.
