Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET) will be single entrance test proposed for AIEEE 2012 and IIT JEE 2012, conducted at national level from 2013 onwards. This entrance test will be conducted by CBSE Board. Joint Admission Board on February 18, 2012 held meeting for taking final call on this national level entrance test. This will enable the admissions in various disciplines like engineering programs of science in India. The head at IIT during the meeting participated in the rigorous discussion of having common entrance test including many terms and conditions. The test for the same had been approved by IIT Council.
ISEET 2013 entrance test will be conducted now next year from April or May, as stated till now by the MHRD officials. The ISEET exam will be divided mainly into 2 sections. The main and advance sections will be part of examination and each having 3 hours of time. The tests will take place on same day between 10 am to 5 pm.
In the main paper of ISEET, there will be objective type questions which will be based on critical thinking, logical reasoning and comprehension. This exam will test the applicant’s problem solving abilities in science subjects. The marks will be scored accordingly in 2 tests which will judge the scholastic level and student’s aptitude for science and engineering. Ministry is planning to give 60% weight age can be granted to ISEET Exam and maximum weight age of 40% on the XII exam scores for admission in engineering.
