Times Higher Education stated IIT Roorkee, Kharadpur and Bombay amonth world’s 400 Top Universities in 2012, 2013 Ranking Reports
In Previous year, IIT Bombay was the only IIT secured the Place in this list but in 2012 2013 ranking other 2 IITs Join the Bombay. IIT KGP has been included in the 226-250 ranking as the best institute followed by IIM Bombay and IIT Roorkee.
It is Important to note that none of this IITs has fortunate enough to reach at the group of Top 200 Institutes in the world. Only Japan’s 5 Universities from Asia reported in Top 200 rankings.
Universities in Singapore, China, South Korea and Taiwan have improved their performance exhibiting a strong shift from the West to the East. There are 21 Asian Institutes has been ranked in Top 200. National University of Singapore and University of Tokyo are ranking first 2 position among Asian universities.
The ranking was done on various parameters such as research, teaching, international perspective and knowledge transfer based on 13 performance indicators.
