The CBSE has decided to replace the entrance exams for the engineering with the Indian Science engineering and eligibility test. This shall come into force from the year 2013. The CBSE shall be responsible to conduct these exams.
The ISEET entrance exam 2013 is the replacement for all types of engineering exams. They shall be conducted for getting admission in all types of courses of engineering. The decision has come as a boon for the candidates since they need to give only one entrance for all the courses vis a vis number of entrance test for various courses. This has tremendously reduced the burden of students.
The entrance exams will be conducted in two parts. The first part in the main exam and the second part shall be called as advance paper. It has been decided that the time period of the exam will be for 3 hours and the both the parts of the exam will he held on the same day. The main paper of the entrance exam will have the objective questions on logical reasoning, comprehension, maths etc. In case of the advance paper the students will have to display their skills on basic science. The results of class 12th shall also be considered and the weight age would be 40%. Rest of the weight age would be of 60% which shall be evaluated in the ISEET entrance exam.
