Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal, said that IT based education would be made compulsory in the state with the motive to make rural youth more employable.
He promised to provide free laptops to the students in a bid to win their support in Ludhiana city as the party released its election manifesto ahead of the upcoming polls in Punjab.
“Our main agenda would be to make IT computer education compulsory in all the schools and the students of eleventh and twelfth would be given laptops so that they learn from young age and they can get jobs in IT sector,” said Badal.
Badal asserted that the people have to finally decide about the new state chief minister, who would work for the welfare of the state.
He said that the party leaders would aim to bring a major infrastructural and overall development in the region.
