Jadavpur University is located in Kolkata, in West Bengal , India. Jadavpur University was established in the year 1955.

It is directly affiliated one of the top research institutes like the Central Glass and Ceramics Research Institute and Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.

It consists of mainly two college grounds i.e. the main college at Jadavpur and the new college at Salt Lake. Its main aspiration was to convey teaching i.e. scientific, technical and literary on nationwide outlines completely under national control and to accomplish self-sufficiency through education.
