SRM Institute of Science and Technology

Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University established in the year 1926 and generally known as SRM University is a co-educational private university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

SRM University has 3 campuses in Tamil Nadu at Kattankulatur, Kancheepuram district, Ramapuram, Trichy and one in Modinagar, near Delhi.

Formerly functioning under Anna University as SRM Engineering College, the institute acquired deemed status in 2003-04, and was renamed SRMIST  – SRM Institute of Science and Technology) and ultimately after that, it is known as SRM University.

It has topped the Times of India’s survey on private universities and is one of the Top Engineering Colleges in India.

Eligibility Criteria for all programmes:

The candidates who have the requisite qualification from foreign universities or Boards of Higher Education recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible for admission to SRM University.

Admission procedure for all programmes:

For B.Tech. Program – The admission will be on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM University (SRMEEE) on all India bases.

For B.Arch. Program – The admission to this program will be based on the aggregate of marks secured in the qualifying examination and in Aptitude Test in Architecture (ATA) conducted by SRM University on all India basis as part of SRMEEE

For B.Des. Program – The admission to B.Des. Program will be purely on the basis of performance in the Higher Secondary examination.

For M.Tech. Program – The admission to this program will be on the basis of performance in the Entrance Test conducted by SRM University. However candidate with valid GATE score can also apply and will be considered for admission.

For MBA and PGPM Programs – The admission to these programs will be on the basis of performance in the Entrance Test, then group discussion and personal interview will also be conducted by SRM University. However, candidates with a valid score in CAT/ MAT can also apply and will be considered for admission.

For MCA Program- The admission to this program will be on the basis of performance in the Entrance Test conducted by SRM University

For M.Arch/ M.S. (TQM) Program – The admission to this program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, professional experience and performance in the interview.

For M.S. (Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) – The admission to this program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and performance in interview.

For Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences:

For Undergraduate Programs – For admission to various programs, entrance examination will be conducted during May of the year. Admission to this program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

For Postgraduate Programs - For admission to various programs, entrance examination will be conducted during the last week of January of the year. Admission to this program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
