Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering was established in the year 1959.

Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering is part of Sri Venkateswara University, which was established in the year 1954 and has been offering number of courses in various areas of education. Sri Venkateswara began with seven departments i.e.

Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics and Philosophy but currently it has 58 departments under it with over 400 faculty members.

In the year 2005- 06 Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering attained autonomous status. And it is amongst one of the Top Engineering Colleges in India.

Eligibility criteria for all programmes:

For Undergraduate – The Candidate should have cleared the intermediate Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any equivalent examination recognized by Sri Venkteshwara University.

For Post Graduate – The candidate should have cleared his/her BE/B Tech in any branch of Engineering or equivalent qualifications with the valid GATE score and some seats are available for the sponsored candidates.

For PhD – The candidate should have cleared his/her Master’s degree in the relevant subjects.
