Unveiling of the Sports Calendar

The sports calendar for the year 2012-2013 was revealed on Sunday in Bhopal by the higher education department of the city. The higher education department has already notified the government aided and funded educational institutions to follow the calendar for the year 2012-2013. The sports calendar has all the dates according to which the state funded government institutions will operate their events.

As per the dates in the calendar, the college sports event at the college level will be starting from the tenth of September while the same events at the district level will begin from fifteenth of September. The divisional activities in sports will begin from the twenty first of September while that of the state level events must start from twenty seventh of September.

The higher education department in Bhopal has twenty two games in which various competitions will be held at the college, state, divisional and district levels. The divisional sports events will be held in Bhopal for volleyball and athletics, Gwalior for badminton and football, Indore for tennis and basketball, Jabalpur for cricket, Ujjain for judo, Sagar for chess and Rewa for the games of kabaddi and Kho kho.
