Vishwakarma Institute of Technology is located in Pune, India. Established in the year 1983 and affiliated to the Pune University. It is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.VIT is funded and retained by the Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust, Pune.
VIT, Pune is spread over 17 acres of land, out of which about 7 acres consists of the academic building and 10 acres is reserved for playground, hostels and staff quarters, occupying total area of about 32,045sq.mts.Consisting, total strength of 2800 students and 225 faculty members. Eligibility criteria for all programmes:
For Undergraduate – The candidate should have cleared Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 with minimum 50% marks from any recognized Central / state board or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
For Postgraduate – The candidate should have cleared his or her BE/B.Tech from relevant field and from any recognized University
For MCA - The candidates should have cleared Graduation with minimum of 45% marks in any subject recognized by the Association of Indian Universities and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination and not for the BCA students.
For PhD – The candidate should have Master’s degree in the relevant field to be eligible for this program.
Admission procedure for all programmes:
For Undergraduate – The candidate is admitted is on the basis of the MHT-CET entrance examination or valid AIEEE score.
For Post Graduate – The candidate is admitted on the basis of GATE score in these postgraduate programs.
For MCA – The admission is taken out through MAH-MCA-CET or AIMCET in accordance with the norms of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.
For PhD – The candidate is selected on the basis of a valid UGC/NET/GATE score for admission to the PhD Programs.
